General William foresaw the value in the Eternal Mountains, even when it was occupied by werewolves and demons.

He begged his lord to allow him to build a stable town in the name of Elsaland in the Eternal Mountains, but the lord declined.
General William led his army into the Eternal Mountains and established a camp on the mountain in the northeast. Lion beasts ambushed them day and night.

Thousands of Lion Lizards attacked the soldiers, their mouths foaming as their blood-stained teeth tore away at flesh and bone.

"Brothers! Hold your position!" General William yelled into the dark as he killed a Lion Lizard.

The first light of dawn appeared in the east, easing the heavy darkness at last.

The camp was littered with the corpses of Lion Lizards and soldiers. One fifth of General William's army was dead or injured.
