L80. Failure of the Vanguard

"Do you remember that diseased giant holy tree in Gaia Woodlands?" Babama's voice boomed out yet again.

"Unusually powerful waves of energy have been felt in that area. We're unsure exactly what effect it will have on the wildlife there, but it likely won't be positive."

"Sprite Messenger, go to Gaia Woodlands to talk with Elder Prophet Borg. He can explain these strange signs of unrest."

"Did Babama tell you to come here?" asked Borg.

"The diseased Gaia's Tree never recovered, and it has begun to send out powerful waves of magic."

"I fear this incident is closely related to the Day of Destiny."

"The Senate sent out a healing team to enter the Tree Cave, but they were all killed, including my friend Karda."

"Karda gave me his journal before he died. If you want the truth, it's within the journal's pages."

"This is the journal Karda gave me," Borg said sadly, flipping through its delicate pages.

"The truth is in here. I haven't read the entire thing myself, but I've skimmed it."

"If Karda were here, he'd know exactly what to do."
