"Because there aren't enough soldiers, each soldier has to pitch in more than their share. So much of our equipment and weaponry need repairs, too, but there's just not enough manpower."

"The handle of my mallet snapped off today while I was pounding a dent out of my breastplate. I can't go around with a dented breastplate, now can I? What would the others think?"

"I think I can fashion a new handle out of the rear leg bones of the Yakkity Yaks near the observatory. Can you get me some?"

"A good mallet can be used for a long period, but the handle usually breaks first."

"Maybe if I use the yaks' rear leg bone for the handle, it'll last longer."
