You can't help but feel pity for Ian, who just lost all his friends.

Ian clutches the bagged remains to his chest. You can't help but be moved by Ian's grief. He really cared for his people.

"But I did hear they do accept some outsiders into the village. The village is suffering from attack by the Glazed Crystal Jelly Rabbit recently. You might try to defeat some of them and bring their ears to the town magistrate as a symbol of good will. Maybe that will win you the trust of the town magistrate." Ian says thoughtlessly.
