"Hello, I am Dofin. Thank you for all your help at Celestia. I know it can't have been easy."

"I've heard a lot about your heroism. You are truly a great Sprite Messenger." Dofin smiled, stroking his long, white beard.

"The people of Celestia are all very kind. Did you take a tour of their majestic buildings? They are simply breathtaking."

You explained to Dofin what the Guard had been doing.

"What? The Praetorian Guard?" Dofin looked taken aback.

"How can this be? I never thought things would end up this way."

"I suppose they are not immune to greed, either." Dofin shook his head sadly.

"I am impressed by your heroism, but if you are here to investigate on behalf of the Guard, I have nothing more to say," Dofin stated.

"These sorry old bones of mine are no match for those monstrous birds."

"I'd love to chat about topics unrelated to the Guard, though. Perhaps we can swap jam recipes."

You asked Dofin about his research.

"The mutated birds only showed up around here recently; I've been collecting feathers to study. Now, about that jam..."

"You look like an honest fellow to me. I suppose that's why the Guard chose you."

"If you came on a 'personal' mission, I wouldn't mind chatting a bit more," he commented, making air quotes around the word "personal."

"Aren't these feathers from the monstrous birds? Where did you get all of these?" Dofin's eyes widened.

"These are all for me?"

You smiled and nodded.

"Wow, thanks! Obviously, you are a selfless person, but the Praetorian Guard only has its own interests in mind. If you want to know what they're really up to, go check out Frostfire Pass. Perhaps the Truth you find there will convince you."

"Where did Nandi go?" Dofin asked, glancing about.

"Nandi's my assistant. She's always running off on one adventure or another. She loves to have fun, but she's also quite diligent and hard-working."

"You came at the right time. Nandi loves sweet treats. Perhaps you can bring her some to get her in a good mood; I'm sure she'll tell you about the floating stones once she jams some chocolate in her maw!"

"You are just in time. I still need more feathers for my research."

"As you may know, the monstrous bird population has exploded recently. They're beginning to affect the ecosystem in a very negative way."

"Can you try to keep them in check? If they keep reproducing, they'll decimate all of our crops."

"I hope the researcher I hired can find a good way to control their population," commented Dofin.

"Thank you for all of your help."

"Be sure to tell me if you notice anything strange."

"Those birds have been practically blotting out the sun lately! I wonder if the population boom is due to a mutation."

"Come help us again if you have time. I need to chat with you a bit, too."

"Anyway, thank you for all the hard work. I don't think my poor old bones would've been up to it."

"Don't forget to bring me news from the Heirloom Peninsula!" Dofin said with a laugh.

Suddenly, a clear voice boomed in your head, as though Carso's Sage were sending a message directly to your brain. You felt as if you were standing directly in front of Master Dofin in Aurawhisp Hamlet.

"You seek new power, eh? I can tell. Knowledge is indeed power."

"Go talk to my researcher. The more you know, the more strength you shall possess!"

"Looks like you have acquired the power you seek. I didn't do anything, really. "

"One of my hobbies is showing people the way forward after all, hehe."
