I gently patted her head, to comfort her, giving her a smile. Then she slumped into my arms and cried.

"Why... why is this always this way! Why does protecting me take you away from me! I want to protect you too!"

"Come on, Rainy, we have to hurry!" I gently pushed her away and asked her to leave. I could only bear it because a new courage had come to me.
