Item : Book: Under the Rocks

Steam Mine Mountain was originally a mineral-rich area. Overexploitation, however, has led to a resource shortage. Many think that this is the result of Goblin Miners mining day and night in Stan's Quarry.

According to my research, the Goblins indeed overmined the area, but they are not the only cause of the shortage.

Intermediaire :

(You looked towards the second paragraph)
I believe the shortage of resources at Steam Mine Mountain was inevitable.

Certainly, the Goblin Miners chip away at it with abandon. However, people also overmined the area; they did not plan correctly.

The natural formation of mineral resources takes many years, and people were mining four years' worth of mineral accumulation in one day.

(You understood the author's point of view.)
To address the resource shortage problem, we must first figure out the cycles of exploitation and natural formation of the minerals. We must then extract minerals according to these cycles.

As for the Goblins, we also need to educate them so that they can also properly mine for minerals without overdoing it.

We must acknowledge our own mistakes before an improvement plan can be devised. Blindly blaming the Goblins alone would be no help at all!
