When he was young, the old ram was a respected and knowledgeable Elsaland Magic Ram. But as he got older, the ram herd neglected him.

"We don't give a ram turd about you; you're just going to die," the Demon Goats bleated to him.

The old ram felt he was no longer needed.

In the old ram's youth, he overheard travelers talking about the ocean. They claimed it was an expanse of salty water, wide and deep and bluer than a cloudless sky.

"More blue than the sky? What could that mean?" wondered the ram.
