"Good day, Sprite Messenger!"

Wozhors seems full of vim and vigor today.

"Evol and I received orders from the highest level--none other than the Sprite King himself! We are to rescue the Alternate Dimension. It is an incredible honor to be entrusted with this task. It's everything I ever dreamed of, and I'm not letting anyone mess this up!"

"So you're here to save the Alternate Dimension with us, is that it? You think you can just walk in here and share all the glory, eh?"

Wozhors look you up and down scornfully.

"Well, not on my watch! Nuh-uh! Not unless you prove yourself worthy, that is. Let me see you spar with those monsters outside to see what you're really made of.

What's the matter? Worried I might find out what a lame fighter you are?"

Wozhors asks mockingly.

"Yeah, well, if you've got what it takes, then get out there and prove it! I mean, what is this--amateur hour? I don't have time for wannabes..."

"Huh. Not bad, human. You didn't beat my time, of course, but still... you're qualified!"

Despite his sustained arrogance, you detect a trace of admiration in Wozhors' voice for the first time.

"What's next? Let me see... I recall Evol said something about eliminating those Rift Hunters,"

Wozhord ponders, suddenly uncertain about his memory.

"Eh, whatever. It'll come to me eventually. Meanwhile, I can't let Evol think that I'm constantly forgetting stuff! That would be damaging to my reputation.

What can I say, I'm not like you with your steel-trap memory! Which is why I've got another quest for you!

This time I just need you to gather proof from the Rift Sprite Messenger and hand it over to Evol. Simple, right?

"No way! I could have sworn that's what he said,"

Wozhors says without conviction.

"To hell with his instructions, I say! This time I'll find my own way to save the Alternate Dimension.

It can't be that hard. But first things first--meet Rift Sprite Messenger Dallas so I can scope out their weak points.

Wozhors pauses for dramatic effect, then continues more matter-of-factly.

"Dallas is near the Desert of Resonance. I hear he can be a malicious character, so watch your back out there.

We wouldn't want him springing an ambush on you now, would we?"

Wozhors asks rhetorically.

"Hah! Just kidding. Had you there for a moment, didn't I? Okay, enough horsing around. Off you go!"

You give Wozhors a rough account of how you were attacked.

"What?! No! Rift Sprites are such petty little critters. All I wanted was some information about their weak points--what's the big fuss?

Nah, forget it. Anyway, are you all right?"

Wozhors gives you a quick once-over and notes that all your limbs are still attached.

"Then, no harm done, right?

Don't worry--if they won't tell us, we'll just have to find out for ourselves,"

Wozhors declares triumphantly.

"Maybe it'll take a little longer, but what other choice do we have? None. We have no other choice. You go on and ask around at Ironwheel Beach.

"See if you can find any clues there, any leads, any information... anything, really."

You tell Wozhors what you saw.

"Hm, is that so..."

Wozhors looks thoughtful, but you can't tell if he's really thinking or just pretending.

"After my, uhm, thorough analysis of the information you have provided, it is my belief that we can help the Ironwheel Outpost's, err, military efforts by removing certain members from Carso's Depot,"

Wozhors says. You're almost certain he's trying to imitate some great general he once heard about.

"I'd take care of the monsters myself, but you see--I'm very busy right now, quite busy indeed. Busy with... things. You can do it, though, right? It'll be a walk in the park for someone like you."

You want to say that flattery will get him nowhere, but that would be a lie.
