"The juice of the Tree of Gaia possesses excellent medicinal qualities. Since the Tree of Gaia has become sick, though, its woody flesh eaten away by tree worms, its juice is tainted and can no longer be used."

"Recently, we started using tree juice from other Gaia's Trees around the area. But the bears keep bothering us when we gather the nectar."

"How annoying!" Nia pouted.

"Aha, so you can smell it, too?"

Vinia smiles wryly and produces a small bag of cookies. The fragrance intensifies.

"These are some cookies I baked. I've added a most special ingredient, the sap of a sacred tree! The sap has medicinal effects, but I personally think it's best baked into a cookie.

Would you mind handing out my cookies to everyone? Let them taste it and see what they think. Thanks!"

Vinia flashes you a cheeky wink.

You look at the cookies she gave you. It's not much of a batch, so you decide not to scarf them down yourself but to do as Vinia asked and dole them out around camp.

"How did it go? Were my cookies a hit?"

You describe Milo's and Ella's reactions.

"I'm glad that Milo and Ella enjoyed my baking. But Milo always eats the whole darned batch! I can't keep up with that bottomless pit of a stomach, and there's never any left for the others,"

Vinia sulks. You bring up Tarsa's concerns about the misuse of medical supplies.

"Meh. Take no heed of Tarsa. He just doesn't have a sweet tooth, that's all!"

"Thank you so very much," Vinia says as she bows gracefully. You're not sure whether the people in the fortress are being polite or sarcastic--same difference, really.

"I have been practicing cooking for everyone."

"I recently thought of a new kind of dish, but the ingredients are a bit strange. Please don't be shocked when I say it!"

"I want to use the bloody mouth of the Thousand-Year Fiendish Flower to make a cold salad. It sounds delicious."

(You shook your head, but Vinia didn't seem to see it.)

"I want you to help me pick up some bloody mouths from the Thousand-Year Fiendish Flower, and then bring back some spring water from (961, 769)!"

(You think it sounds a bit strange, but you decide to help Vinia out with collecting the ingredients."

"Oh my God! It's looks so delicious even before being cooked!"

(You look at Vinia with shock.)

"I'll just use this cold spring water to rinse the ingredients!"

"Thank you, Sprite Messenger!"

(You are silently praying for the person who is going to eat this dish.)
