Not only that, but Mimi would be devastated if I stopped eating her favorite dishes," Eddy says bravely as beads of cold sweat roll down his forehead.

"Evil Bat guts! Vampire Bat guts! I've never been this happy to see raw guts before!" Eddy is in tears now, partly out of relief, but also from the sheer effort of keeping it in all this time.

"I've got some digestive meds to make now. I hope we meet again under better circumstances. Gotta run! M'kay, thanks! Bye!"

"Humph! My life is so boring right now. All I do around here is stare at bats and bugs all day! I'd much rather be with Mimi," Eddy laments.

"Can you help a brother out, %n%? Use this special reflecting paper to capture Mimi's beautiful image. I want to look at her even when I'm on sentry duty."

"You've returned. Did the reflecting paper work?" Eddy impatiently inquires.

"It's true that this here paper is a bit old and worn. I was hoping it would work fine anyway...

Oh, no! This picture's all blurry!" Eddy stares in disbelief at the fuzzy picture of Mimi.

"But she still looks beautiful in it, don't you think? I don't expect you to understand how I feel."

"Loving, kind, talented Mimi... I especially miss her gourmet food. She makes it just for me!"

"Hey, %n%--guess what? Saul and Gauss got their grubby hands on some more of Mimi's kitchen masterpieces. Mimi's gourmet delights shouldn't be available to just anyone, no siree! I won't allow it!" Eddy's fists are firmly clenched.

"Do me a favor--take this pouch of money and buy back all of Mimi's wonderful dishes from Gauss."

"No price is too high! I won't allow them to steal Mimi's heart from me!"

"Hey, I thought you were bringing back Mimi's dishes?" Eddy looks around expectantly as if the dishes might appear out of thin air.

"%n%, you said you'd help me bring them back! You... you promised!"

"There we go! Finally, I can enjoy some more of Mimi's unique cuisine," Eddy exclaims, and with that, he downs the entire pot in what seems like one gulp.

"Yee-haw!! Mimi's cooking sure packs a PUNCH, doesn't it?! It's invigorating! And I can practically taste Mimi's personality in this dish."

"This makes me happy... so happy..." Now in a state of pure ecstasy, Eddy rolls around on the ground in a pool of his own sweat.

"Mimi's food, Mimi's food, puts me in a truth-telling... mood! Haha..." Eddy croons with delight.

"But the moooonsters, they're everywhere! I can't talk to Mimi in this state. I need to look my best! I need your help, need your help, need your help-di-di-dum-di help... hihihi...

"You! You... will you deliver my declaration of love to Mimi? That would be radical, man. Gnarly. Um... righteous?"

"I wonder how she'll react..." The thought that this might not go as expected seems to sober Eddy up a bit.

"No, Mimi will understand how I feel about her--I'm sure of it!"

"I had no idea Mimi felt that way about me..." You were expecting a hefty reaction, but Eddy shows no signs of dejection.

"No matter! She doesn't have to accept me in that way for me to be content. Simply being near her warms me like the sun!"

"Other men in her life will come and go, but I'll never abandon her. No one will ever be able to love her the way I do!" You cannot help but admire Eddy's unwavering devotion, however misguided it may be.
