"Why are those werewolves, giants, and apes so annoying?" Richter sighs and throws up his hands.

"I know, I know. Monster hunting is supposed to be a Demon Hunter's job, right? So you want to know why I'm always giving the quests to you?"

"It's NOT because I'm lazy. I just want to give you young fellows as many as opportunities as possible. Understand?"

(You're not totally convinced, but it's clear it's not worth arguing the point.)

"Well done! I knew I had the right person. This way, the Plateau won't run out of game anytime soon. The hunters should stop complaining too."

Richter looks around and laughs out loud.

"Looks like this quest was perfect for you!"

"In that case, hunt more of these monsters. Given time, those dangerous creatures could overrun the Plateau again."

"I might not look it, but I used to take on tigers and catch vultures with my bare hands!"

"In Saphael, monsters turned tail when they saw me coming! Back in those days..."

Richter looks into the distance and starts retelling old stories.

"...I don't know why I mentioned it. Maybe it's because seeing you hard at work reminds me of my younger self? I was totally awesome back in the day."

"Hmm... Let me see.... Well done." Richter looks into the distance with a smile of satisfaction.

"Here's your reward."

"Any imbalance in the unique ecosystem of the Plateau could have unimaginable consequences."

"If you are willing, could you do me a favor and hunt more of those monsters?"

and began telling stories of his courageous youth.

"Seeing you hard at work reminds me of my past. I miss it sometimes. Each day was so full of the promise of adventure!"

"My name is Richter Simons, and I am assigned to the Misty Plateau."

"Any imbalance in the unique ecosystem of the Plateau may have unimaginable consequences."

"While things are looking up at the moment, there will always be more beasts to hunt. We may need your help again!"

"Please accept this small token of gratitude from the locals. I don't know where these map fragments will lead, but if you piece them together, you're bound to find something."

"Oh, it's you again,"

Richter Simons mutters while rolling his eyes.

"Unless you've got something important to say, I suggest you quit pestering me."

He waves you aside but abruptly halts, his hand lingering midair.
Something in the distance has caused his attention to sharpen.

"That serious, eh? Ugh! As if this day couldn't get any more bothersome..."

Much to your surprise, he actually begins to move, making you glad that he's finally willing to take his demon hunting duties seriously.
Your hopes prove short-lived, however, when you realize he only moved to lazily scratch himself.

"All right. Well, thanks for your help!"

Richter Simons half-heartedly hands you a reward for the information you provided,
then promptly resumes his "work" with a yawn.
