Adults said Kappa liked to eat tender flesh of children, advising that when they went to the river bank, they should come back as soon as possible.

So when he was on the way, Little Boy was filled with fear, trying to avoid the encounter with Kappa.

Watching the water on the ground, Little Boy silently picked up the bucket, and went back to the river to fetch water again.

After running into the Kappa several times, he found that when he put on the hood, the Kappa couldn't tell if he was male or female. In this way the Kappa wouldn't attack.

That's how the Little Boy spent his childhood.
