Everything played out exactly as Carso had planned.

Local tribes stirred up unrest, and powerful armies rose up to rebel, creating unimaginable chaos.

But this was not enough.

As he manipulated the direction of the world from the shadows, Carso decided to create some nightmarish creatures that could nip any sort of resistance in the bud.

It was time to show the Goblin Elder and Captain of the Royal Guard true terror.

"True champions have no need for compassion," Carso thought coldly.

"Some sacrifices are necessary for the greater good. Since when have battles been won without rivers of blood?"

"Let the screams come together in a symphony of pain, and let the blood turn to wine for a banquet we shall never forget!"

As Carso looked over at the quiet plains, he couldn't help but imagine it consumed by war.

"The thick carpet of green grass shall burn particularly well," he thought with a smirk.

Carso disappeared into the darkness, leaving only the sound of his arrogant laughter echoing in his wake.
