The painting shows a busy market around a giant windmill.

In the painting, many people are buying and selling things in the market. The artist managed to capture the lifelike expressions of the traders hawking their wares.

Apart from the giant windmills, something else also stood out about Windmill Market.

All the buildings in the market were painted white, while their roofs were painted with a blue deeper than the sky.

The blue and white made it look as if people were walking through the clouds.

The giant windmills, the strong color contrast of the buildings, and the lively merchants all help to make this wonderful painting come alive.
